Information for Parents

1. Registration is from 2 to 4 PM. Note that all weeks begin on Sunday.
2. Please pick up your child by 9:30 AM on the following Saturday.
3. Parents are encouraged to write to their child while they are at camp. On the envelope put the camper’s name and the camp address:
Camper Name
660 Camp Carmel Road
Dunbar, PA 15431
4. Injury or illness that is camp related, is covered by Camp’s Insurance as a Secondary Insurance Carrier and Payer.
5. SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AVAILABLE! As always, there is scholarship money available for those young people who need a sponsor to attend camp. Contact the Executive Director for more information.
6. For your information, our cost per camper for a week of camp is about $280. We have always attempted to keep registration fees within reach of the campers in our area. Therefore the price this year is only $170 for all campers. This is made possible by the financial support of our local churches.
7. You will be able to purchase a store card for your child when you register at the camp. Any money left over will be refunded to the child at the end of the week. The camp store is usually open at least once each day and is stocked with candy, pop, and Camp Carmel items.

Note that there is a gate at the bike trail. If you arrive at camp at times other than drop off and pick up times the gate will be locked and you will need to walk into camp (about 100 yards) to ask a staff person to unlock the gate for you.
Also there is a gate above the property on the road. The Gate is locked at night. If you need to come to camp at night, let someone know the time you need to come into camp when you drop your camper off so they can have the gate unlocked for you.
